Section 4: Action

Acting on your analysis is the final stage in the business intelligence cycle. It is the culmination of all your information gathering, analysis and intelligence efforts. Once you have determined your plan of action, it is critical that you put it into effect as soon as possible. Any delay will make your actions less effective. Lengthy delays will render your plan of action ineffective all together.

Once you have acted, it's a good idea to evaluate the results of your actions and determine what new intelligence needs have developed. You will then find yourself ready to begin the business intelligence cycle once again.
